LOST MILLS & GHOST MANSIONS

Bradford is a city famous for its textile history. In the 1900s there were over 350 mills involved in the production of the finest worsted cloth and fabrics of all kinds. Today there are less than 30 working mills. The rest have burnt down, been demolished, or found a new life. Salts Mill in the heart of the Saltaire World Heritage Site is visited by thousands of people every year, Lister’s Mill in Manningham is home to Mind the Gap Theatre and Moorside Mill in Eccleshill houses the Bradford Industrial Museum.
