TVINS

The film TVINS tells the story of the two brothers who arrived in Bradford as Fritz and Hans and returned from Canada as Fred and John. How they moved into Bradford life, got married and raised children. The story will be told through the eyes of their children.

The Toczek brothers left a legacy of photos, documents and places and the short film will piece together that legacy. With the opening of archives more documents are available to tell their story as well as their children’s recollections of their fathers.

We see TVINS as a human story from Bradford, of welcome and the rebuilding of lives while recognising the difficulties and hardships that refugees faced and new refugees still face today.

Funded by the Bradford MAKE FILM grant.
